Juan Ignacio Guerra & Matías Guerra
Matías Guerra and Juan Ignacio Guerra are the founders and artistic directors of Compagnie FiCTA, dedicated to creating digital scenery setups produced by video projections.
Trained as an architect and musician, they have been developing audiovisual projects in dialogue with performing arts for over 15 years, combining their artistic experience and mastery of multimedia tools to design tailor-made projects, from digital creation to stage setup and installation.
They have collaborated with opera and dance companies, contemporary music ensembles, and multidisciplinary projects in Argentina, France, Germany, Poland, and South Korea. They created the digital staging of the opera Stefano by Martín Palmeri, Mozart 's Magic Flute, Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Les Espaces Infinis, Hommage à G. Ligeti, and Kagel 18.IX.2008 with Ensemble Écoute, the digital scenography of Cyrano at the San Martín Theatre Complex in Buenos Aires , the plays Catarro and Verano by writer Mario Segade, and the series of dance pieces Luminaris, among others.
They have participated in multidisciplinary projects sponsored by GMEM Marseille (France); Goethe-Institut (France/Germany); SACEM (France); Maison de la Musique Contemporaine (France); Impuls Neue Musik (Switzerland); Kagel-Burghardt Foundation (Switzerland); Wonju Cultural Center (Korea); Space Mijo (Korea); Sejong-si Art Center (Korea); Meetingpoint Music Messiaen e.V (Poland); Tecnópolis (Argentina); National Arts Fund (Argentina); Tucumán Government (Argentina); INAMU (National Music Institute, Argentina); Buenos Aires City Government (Argentina).
